Artist: Tang Cheng 唐成 Material: Porcelain, silver matte glaze with sand texture Technique: Sand-textured matte silver glaze, high-temperature firing.

Dimensions: 40×15×41 cm (L×W×H) Year: 2022 'Da Fu Sheng Xiang' (大福胜象) is a formal Chinese blessing — roughly, 'great fortune in triumphant form.' Tang Cheng chose it for his tallest rabbit: a piece intended not as a zodiac ornament but as a ceremonial object, something slightly larger than life, made to receive attention.

The rabbit stands upright on its haunches, ears vertical, the back arched in a single continuous curve from skull to tail. The proportions are deliberately exaggerated — longer ears, leaner body, a more decisive silhouette than the smaller recumbent study. The form hovers between animal and icon.

The glaze is a matte silver with sand texture, fired at high temperature. Light slides across it without catching, so the sculpture reads almost as carved stone. The effect is quiet authority — closer to a temple figure than to a naturalistic animal study. Edition of 200
