Yutian has painted porcelain in Jingdezhen for twenty-five years. His work spans the full repertoire of classical ceramic decoration, from Falangcai to famille rose, with a mastery rooted in the imperial kiln tradition. In 2017 he pioneered the Dunhuang porcelain style that has since been widely adopted across the city. Each piece in this collection is entirely hand-painted using mineral pigments, built up through successive firings. These are objects made at the pace of centuries, not of commerce.
